ANISH/OKRENT
REMEMBRANCE WALL

The Anish/Okrent Remembrance Wall is dedicated in memory of:

Harry & Ethel Anish
and
Joseph & Ida Okrent

whose bequests provided for the purchase of the Cornell Road property. Bricks of Remembrance are available for purchase. Have your significant events and dedications permanently inscribed and made a part of Ohav Shalom. Bricks on the Remembrance Wall are available for $2 50 each. Please contact Gordon Schilmeister if interested at 459-0111.

PRINTER CARTRIDGE RECYCLING

Please bring your used fax, printer, and copier cartridges to Ohav Shalom for recycling. We can accept laser, ink jet, and all fax cartridges. Not only is it good for the environment, but it will generate revenue for the synagogue as we sell these to recyclers. Also, think in terms of collecting the used cartridges from your place of work. The more cartridges we can collect, the more we can make for the synagogue. This has been a successful program — the shul has raised over $100 in the short time this program has existed!!
This has been a very successful program!
Please keep bring in your used cartridges!!
Thank You!

SPONSOR A KIDDUSH

Sponsoring a Kiddush is a wonderful way to celebrate or commemorate. It is surprisingly affordable and religiously meaningful. Special note of your sponsorship is made in the Shabbat bulletin. Call the office to arrange the Shabbat Kiddush you would like to sponsor.

TREE OF LIFE

A leaf on the Tree of Life is a beautiful way to celebrate a special event, honor friends and family, or memorialize. Money raised from the sale of leaves on the Tree of Life is placed in the Linda G. Klein Fund, which supports youth scholarships and programs. The cost to purchase a leaf is $95.00. We appreciate your continued support of the Linda G. Klein Fund and Ohav Shalom. For information regarding the purchase of leaves, please call Leah Cohen, 779-4800.

NOTIFICATION OF ILLNESS

Due to the new privacy laws, the Rabbi and the Bikkur Cholim Committee do not always receive the names of congregants who are hospitalized. Therefore, we are asking that if you know someone who is ill, either in the hospital or at home (Especially long-term illness), please notify the Rabbi or the Synagogue office. If there is a request for confidentiality on the part of the family, please call the shul office at 489-3399 and leave a private message on the Rabbi’s voice mail.

SISTERHOOD
READING GROUP

The Sisterhood’s fiction reading group meets on the last Tuesday of each month. The goal is to read and discuss fiction of Jewish relevancy. Meetings are held at the synagogue on that last Tuesday every month at 1:30 PM . Selected books are available at the public library.

FREE STORE

Our collection of canned goods for the Free Store is ongoing. Please continue to bring canned goods to the office for distribution to food banks or place items in the decorated container at the School Entrance. So far this year we have collected and donated three full containers of food products! Thank You!
