 Levy\, a tenured faculty member in Educational Studies at SUNY Empire Stat
 e College\, is a Brooklyn-born\,&nbsp\;bi-national citizen of Israel and t
 he United States. In addition to her academic work\, she has been active i
 n national politics and grassroots organizing in Israel and in local polit
 ics in the Albany area\, where she and her husband Dan Bernstein have rais
 ed three daughters\, none of whom\, to their distress\, live close by.\n\n
