The event will take place on Mar ch 9\, 2019 and begin at 9 AM.\n\nGuest speaker Seth Madnick Marnin will a ddress congregants with Sacred Jewish Space: \;Greater than the Sum of Its Parts. Marnin is a civil rights attorney and chair of the board of\nK eshet\, a national organization that works for the full inclusion of all L GBTQ Jews and their \;families in Jewish life. He is a native of Alban y. \;“We are so pleased that Seth is coming back to the area\, and f eel privileged to have him speak \;with our congregation\,” says Rab bi Dan Ornstein. “We strive to make Ohav Shalom a \;welcoming and co mfortable space for all of our members. Issues such as this are important not \;only to our own LGBTQ members\, but to our entire local Jewish c ommunity.” \;Marnin is founder and principal of Workplace Strategies \, where he advises and guides nonprofit \;organizations and individua ls on a range of legal issues. Prior to his consulting \;practice\, he served as the vice president for civil rights at the Anti-Defamation Leag ue (ADL)\nwhere he oversaw ADL’s domestic civil rights agenda. He has sp oken nationally and \;internationally on LGBTQ issues\, hate crime law s\, discrimination\, civil rights and religious\nfreedom. Marnin has also served on the planning committee for the National LGBT Bar \;Associati on’s Transgender Roundtable and the World Professional Organization for Transgender\nHealth (WPATH) Legal Committee.
