We hope you will join us virtually or in person on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 11:00am-1:00pm at a special Tribute to honor and celebrate our beloved Rabbi Rena H. Kieval as she ends her tenure as a full-time rabbi at Ohav Shalom. Rabbi Kieval has served our Ohav community with love and commitment for fifteen years as one of our rabbis, and for many years prior to that in related spiritual roles. We have been blessed and have profoundly benefitted from her creativity, inspiration, wisdom, teaching, compassion, and good counsel. We hope you will help us pay tribute to her on this special occasion.
When planning first began for the June 12th Tribute to Rabbi Rena, considerable conversation took place regarding whether it should be a virtual event, a mix of in-person and virtual, or a completely in-person event. The decision has now been made to proceed with an in-person event with live streaming provided for those ticket holders for whom that option is preferable, NO passcode required. Indoor and outdoor seating will be available (No assigned seating or reserved inside or outside), with the program taking place in the sanctuary.
Out of an abundance of caution and as a way to balance health and safety with the benefit of being together at an event of this size and nature, we are asking ALL attendees to submit proof of vaccination and to be masked when not eating. Social distancing will be in place in the sanctuary and other spaces.
For ALL Honorary Committee members or ticket holders who have already paid, you will be asked to complete a short form to indicate your preference regarding attending in-person or virtually, and, if opting for in-person attendance, to upload your proof of vaccination. Click here to do so. If you have previously uploaded your proof of vaccination you need not do so again. Please call the Ohav Shalom office at 518-489-4706 x10 if you need assistance or have any questions.
A FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) with Day Of event details is forthcoming! Use the buttons above to show your support. We are so glad that you will be part of this special opportunity to thank Rabbi Rena for all she has given our Ohav and larger community and to wish her well. We thank you for your support
