Hunger is not a problem. It is an obscenity. How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world” ~ Anne Frank
Hunger is a local, ongoing problem. We CAN help! Make a Difference! Come to Ohav on Sunday, Sept. 12 between 11am and 1pm to drop off non-perishable food items and/or other essential items. Through this simple act, you’ll be helping people right here in our own community! We will have boxes available for your safe and contactless donation. We invite you to take this opportunity to support those in need during this Holy Days season.
Consider nourishing your soul each month by volunteering at the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY. One Sunday a month from 1p,-3pm, to help sort and re-pack food and other essential products for the needy in our community. Join other, singles, couples AND families for the Ohav Social Action Committee Project. Check out www.ohavshalom.org for specific dates or check your weekly emails from the Ohav office. No experience necessary. Join the MITZVAH! Contact Sharon Berko for more info.
