Ohav is deeply committed to helping each person and family to grow Jewishly. There are so many programs and services available to you. We try to provide something for each person at every level of involvement, and though there is no pressure to get involved, we would love it if you do!
We offer a diverse array of classes, special one-day programs, and opportunities for Jewish religious and cultural experience. Our award-winning educational programs provide learning options for students of all ages, from preschool programs, to Bar/Bat Mitzvah, to life-long learning. Our Social Action Committee is involved in “tikkun olam,” repairing the world through volunteering in the community. Yad Yonatan offers support to the bereaved and to those facing other life challenges through visits, meals and other assistance. “Shomrei Adamah,” Keepers of the Earth, Ohav’s environmental awareness committee, is dedicated to protecting the world around us. For our active 60+ members, we are in the process of starting a “Hazak,” (Strength) chapter, and becoming part of this nationwide program created by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
