What lies behind tzedakah is the power of community. Our Ohav community depends on the generosity of our members and associates, and your gifts make a tremendous difference in helping us support our synagogue’s inspirational worship; thought-provoking study; important acts of tikkun olam; and the meaningful personal relationships developed within our synagogue community.
There are many ways to donate to Ohav. We greatly appreciate one-time and ongoing donations from people who Advertise; make Bequests; purchase Commemoratives & Plaques; give to our High Holy Days Appeal; do Stock Transfers; and/or provide In-kind Professional Services to Ohav Shalom.
If you are interested in donating to Ohav in a way that is not shown on our website, please contact us. For example, a member wanted to have benches installed on our front walkway and contacted us to let us know that a donation of the benches was forthcoming. Our Buildings and Grounds Board members worked with the donor, and now we have beautiful benches gracing our front walkway. Another example can be found in our new prayer books. Working with the Religious Life Committee, few families got together and purchased them for the shul. The list goes on… and you can find and donate something as well. Just call us!
General donations of funds will be utilized in the most appropriate manner to benefit the shul. Please review our Synagogue Funds if you wish to earmark your donation,
Please use the Donate Form to make an online donation to Ohav Shalom. If you prefer to send a check, you may also download the form and mail it to us at Ohav Shalom, 113 New Krumkill Road, Albany, NY 12208.
