Dear Ohav community,
We enter this Passover in the strange situation of celebrating freedom while confined in our homes. But although we are physically apart, we are connected in spirit and are grateful for the strength of our community.
The Passover seder directs us to be creative and thoughtful as we tell stories of oppression and liberation, and turn our hopes to a world that is redeemed and whole, the world of Elijah. This is a time to remember the power of kindness,of chesed, to behave towards one another, and towards ourselves, with patience and love.
While we will be mostly “offline” for the Yom Tov days of Passover and for Shabbat, please know that your rabbis are always available by telephone if you are facing an emergency or feel a need to speak with us. Our contact information can be found on our respective voice mails by calling the Ohav office 518-489-4706.
In this season of renewal, may you and your loved ones be healthy and whole, in body and in spirit, and may you enjoy a safe, sweet and meaningful Pesach. Chag Sameach

Passover Seder
If you are hosting a seder for the first time and would like an overview of the seder, or to review selected melodies, check out Rabbi Kieval’s “Seder Songs” here
This recording uses an abbreviated Haggadah created by
Rabbi Rena for this year’s circumstances, which may also be useful to those who have no Haggadah at home, or those who are in need of a uniform Haggadah to share with others for an online seder.
A PDF of the Ohav Haggadah can be downloaded here

Please know that all of you are in our thoughts during this challenging time, and that we are available to talk or to provide support in whatever ways we can. Please contact either Rabbi Dan or Rabbi Rena through email or call Ohav for our voicemail and phone information (518-489-4706) if there is something we can do to help.
We wish everyone a happy, healthy and meaningful Passover and look forward to staying connected with you and your family (on line)!
