Join our guest speaker, Karen Lipson, in a discussion about the current refugee situation and explore ways to reach out and assist. Karen Lipson is an Ohav member who began volunteering, along with a group of other congregants, in February 2016 to mentor a large Afghan family that had recently arrived in Albany. She continues to advise the family and has recently begun helping a cousin who was evacuated from Kabul in August 2021. Professionally, Karen is an executive vice president with LeadingAge NY, an association of non-profit, long-term care and aging services providers.
