One of the high points of Rosh Hashanah for all of us is to hear the blasts of the shofar. To enable our congregants to hear the shofar in person this year, we are pleased to offer live shofar services in the Ohav Shalom parking lot. We will gather in shifts to hear the blasts of the shofar and words of greeting from the rabbis.
Registration is required for a specific time slot, so that we can do this in a safe and orderly fashion. See registration form below.
Young families are especially invited to attend at 10:45 a.m., when our young children’s leader Bracha Louz will be there to greet us and lead a brief activity as part of our shofar service.
Please sign up for one of the following time slots:
10:45 a.m., 12 noon and 1 p.m.
For those arriving in cars, please know that for everyone’s safety, you will be asked to remain in your car, with windows open so that you can hear. Attendees planning to arrive at the synagogue on foot are also required to register.
After registrations and scheduling are complete, everyone registered will receive instructions on how to participate so that we will all be able to enjoy the sounds of the shofar on the grounds of Ohav this Rosh Hashanah.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we create ways to safely celebrate the holiday together.
