Congregation Ohav Shalom Launches first “Torah Tailgate” Party

Congregation Ohav Shalom will host its first “Torah Tailgate” party at 113 New Krumkill Road, Albany on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 6:30 – 10 pm.   On the eve of Super Bowl 2014, this event features kosher chicken wings, vegetarian chili and more, plus kosher beer from the Schmaltz Brewing Company of Clifton Park. Proceeds will benefit Congregation Ohav Shalom.

The evening commences with Havdallah at 6:30 pm followed by dinner at 7 pm, tailgate games, football bloopers and Tailgate Talmud by Rabbi Dan Ornstein and Rabbi Rena Kieval, all to get us in the mood for Super Bowl and support Congregation Ohav Shalom.  Jeans and team clothing are encouraged.  All are welcome to join the fun.

Ticket Price (includes food, soda, munchies and two beers per person 21 and over):

  • $35 per person     
  • $30 per person 35 and under
  • $15 per child 12 and under
  • $75 maximum for families (free babysitting included for children 2 and over)*

*If you require babysitting, you must call the office by 1/30 to reserve your slot.
