The Noodle Pudding Players presents Wendy Wasserstein’s award-winning play “The Sisters Rosensweig at Congregation Ohav Shalom, 113 New Krumkill Road, Albany, December 20-25.
Meet Sara, Pfeni and Gorgeous, three sisters originally from Brooklyn, who reunite in August 1991 in London for the eldest’s 54th birthday. One sister clings to her Jewish heritage, another clings to her new British identity, while another travels the globe identifying with the downtrodden in third world countries. Add to the mix a bisexual theatrical director, a Jewish furrier, and a teenage daughter running off with her boyfriend. Chaos, heartache and laughter ensue.
“The Sisters Rosensweig” is directed by Michelle Ungerman Sanders (Congregation Ohav Shalom), and features local talent including Sorelle Brauth, Sophia Casabonne, Ken Goldfarb, Mike Jennings, Michele Marchese, Barry Pollack, Robin Suitor, and Brian Toal.
Show dates are December 20, 22, 23, 25 at 7 pm and December 21 at 2 pm Ohav Shalom, 113 New Krumkill Road, Albany, NY. Tickets are $15 adults, $12 students/seniors and will be available at the door.
